Mostly Biz: North Korea Open Fires On South Korea, Both Countries On The Brink Of War?
North Korea has reported to have open fired shells on South Korea on Tuesday, and the question here is whether these countries are on the brink of war? After a heavy shelling by North Korea, South Korea too return fired and sounded an emergency over the surrounding region. Many houses and building were on fire after the shells hit the villages.
Reports also state that at least one person and four soldiers have been injured in the cross border fire. After this the country is on the highest alert since 1950. Both the nation have been in a tense situation, since the sinking of the South Korean naval ship, after which the North Koreans were blamed for it.
More than 50 shells fell on the island of Yeonpyeong, a region that falls in a highly disputed region of the Yellow Sea. Both countries are on high alert and there is huge chance that there is something serious going to take place between these two nations. South Korean Air Force deployed its jets over the region to monitor the area and also help as a back up if need, as it was thought the situation could get even worse.
